Filmul documentar oferă o viziune cuprinzătoare asupra vinurilor românești și a relației tradiționale dintre vin și Familia Regală a României. Simbol al unei culturi multimilenare, vinul românesc are toate atributele perfecțiunii.

Documentarul urmărește povestea vinului de la naștere la maturitate. Însăși istoria are un cuvânt de spus, pentru că fără tradiție și continuitate, apelativul Regal ar fi lipsit de sens.

Vinul Regilor prezintă lupta zilnică a celor care duc vinul către valori absolute. Țărani ai podgoriilor, dar și proprietari de crame din România, Franța și Basarabia, își spun poveștile și își dezvăluie secretele.

Despre calitățile vinurilor regești din România vor vorbi maeștri oenologi, literați, filosofi, precum și propietari de crame.
